We are here to help social impact be successful.
The social enterprise sector remains tightly constrained by a set of economic “rules” that discourage fair and competitive compensation for those dedicating their lives to the causes we care about most. They discourage serious marketing, risk-taking and long-term investment for scaling organizational impact. These rules work against the sector on every level. It’s time to rethink philanthropy and charity “rules”.
RISE Pilot Program
We are dedicated to transforming nonprofit services in rural communities. From addressing food insecurity and mental health, to strengthening care and housing systems, nonprofit organizations are leading the work that keeps rural communities resilient and thriving. But too often, they are doing this work without the shared tools, systems, or infrastructure that could help them go further together. The Center, along with Five & Rising is investing in initiatives that coordinate efforts and co-create shared systems, collaborative strategies, confidence and a collective sense of readiness that attracts financial investment and supports long-term sustainability and mission impact.
UnCharitable
This documentary unpacks the book “Uncharitable,” by Dan Pallotta, the film follows the stories of four iconic American charitable efforts that were crippled or destroyed by old ideas. The film will compel you to rethink how charities can be run to unlock scalable impact.
